American Legion Scholarship Programs

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

In keeping with the mission of the Horatio Alger Association, the scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Eligibility criteria include: high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrated critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), and United States citizenship. Early Childhood Education Degree Scholarships

Potentially hundreds or thousands of early childhood education degree scholarships. Some of these scholarships will be dedicated to ECE specifically; whereas, others will be dedicated to future teachers in general. Be sure to look at all scholarships for education majors no matter whether the scholarship is for college and university expenses, licensures, or for conferences. Semper Fidelis All-American Program

Proudly presented by the United States Marine Corps, the Semper Fidelis All-American Program recognized high school students who face life’s battles with the conviction and determination to succeed. Fleet Reserve Association Milwaukee Branch 14 Americanism Essay Contest

This year's theme and title is "What my vote will mean to me?" in 350 words - on one side of paper. Eligibility grades 7 thru 12. Entries must be returned by December 1, 2019.  Please use this LINK for rules and application.  

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin

The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to study engineering at a four-year ABET accredited program leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering and intend to enter the profession of engineering upon graduation.  Each applicant will be considered for all of the following scholarships.

  • The Engineers of Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarship, 4 scholarships, each $2,000
  • The NSPE-WI Past Presidents Scholarship, 1 scholarship, $2,000
  • The Behling Scholarship, 2 scholarships, each $2,000
  • The Louis C Geiger Scholarship, 3 scholarships, each $2,000
  • The Yu-Hwa Terry Ni FREE Program Scholarship, $2,000 will be awarded in on or two scholarships

All Saints Foundation – Mary E. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship:

The Volunteers in Partnership with Ascension-All Saints Hospital is offering a $4,000 Mary E. Hamilton Scholarship, $1,000 each year for four years.  Hamilton was the founding president of the St. Mary’s Medical Center Auxiliary.  Deadline Monday, January 6, 2020 at NOON.  Please click HERE for application and criteria.

All Saints Foundation – James M. Wunsch Memorial Scholarship:

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for education beyond the high school level for a student entering an accredited college/university to pursue a health care related degree.  Deadline Monday, January 6, 2020 at NOON.  Please click HERE for application and criteria.

 

All Saints Foundation – Ed and Rose DeMeulenaere Respiratory/Pulmonary:

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for a student entering into the healthcare field, preferably Respiratory and Pulmonary Care. Deadline Monday, January 6, 2020.  Please click HERE for application and criteria.

Society’s Assets Scholarship

Assisting people with disabilities to reach their educational & career goals.  Please visit societysassets.org to check out criteria and application.  Deadline is February 1, 2020.  

 

AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation

This year the Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will offer scholarships to approximately 65 Wisconsin public and private high school graduates based on need, academic achievement and character.  The annual scholarships - $10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs-are renewable for the length of the program.  You can find more information at our website, www.AbNicholasScholars.org.  Scholarship applications are available online only starting February 1 and must be submitted by April 30.

Criteria for applying for this scholarship:

  • Residents of Wisconsin
  • Public and private high school students
  • Basketball program participants in their senior year
  • Planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System School
